The SL100A is a standard load designed to take into account the electrical sensitivity of a patient. This product is used for voltage difference limit testing within the patient care environment for your electrical systems and must be performed every five years after the initial test is conducted.
The handheld CSA Z32 Standard Load (model SL100A) is a quality professional product that complies with the standard load specifications detailed in the CSA Z32 standard for sections 5.9 and 5.11.2.1.
The lightweight enclosure clearly identifies the meter and probe connections as well as offering the user high durability. The internal components are electrically isolated from the user for safety during test. Internal thermal isolation circuitry provides automatic disconnection in the event a high voltage is encountered within the test area. The internal circuitry automatically resets once the high voltage has been removed.
With the use of a digital multi-meter connected to the “Meter” end and ground reference connection cable and test probe lead connected to the “Probe” end, an efficient, reliable, and consistent method of performing voltage difference testing is provided.
For information on how to perform “Voltage Difference Between Ground Points”, please refer to section 5.9.2 “Test Method” of the CSA Z32 standard.
Specifications: SL100A-SS001-001
